Concrete Paving
RDU Paving provides Concrete Paving services throughout the Raleigh-Durham area. We perform commercial paving work. We offer a wide range of concrete services including concrete pavement construction, curb & gutter, dumpster pads, sidewalk, and loading docks.
Concrete Pavement: Concrete is poured after the sub-grade has been properly prepared and the stone has been placed. Concrete is placed according to the psi (pounds per square inch) specifications. Concrete has numerous additives that can increase the strength such as fiber or wire mesh. Concrete must be allowed to cure properly before allowing traffic on the surface. This allows the concrete to reach its maximum strength and hardness. Curb & Gutter Installation: Curb & Gutter is installed once the sub-grade has been appropriately graded. Curb & Gutter must be installed to the proper grade in order to allow correct drainage for the parking lot site. We install both new curb & gutter as well as repair existing curb & gutter that may be broken or sunken.
Sidewalk Construction: For sidewalk construction, the sub-grade must be properly prepared. Forms are then placed and concrete is poured. Concrete must be properly cured in order for it to have maximum strength and durability. We perform numerous concrete sidewalk repairs effectively eliminating trip hazards and other unsightly areas.
